Solves problems, performs analysis, researches, and tests functions for network systems
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Performs maintenance, support, and serves as an escalation point for complex network issues or resolutions.
Performs root cause analysis activities that resolve significant network issues.
Plans and performs implementations for network systems changes.
Develops testing plans to ensure quality of implementation and seeks IT management's approval and acceptance of significant replacements or reconfigurations of major network systems serving a business unit or location.
Participates in the design of the enterprise network architecture and review meetings as required to support network implementation activities.
May be assigned to project teams for technical consultation to business partners and developers.
May act as key contact for vendor support.
Provide recovery and restoration of the network in event of a disaster, major incident, or network outage.
Ensure backup systems are in place and functioning to ensure business continuity
Monitor network management system; respond to, and resolve, alerts in a timely manner.
A 4 year undergrad degree is required for the position, preferably in computer science or engineering. 3-5 years of equivalent work experience PLUS a 4 year degree will also be considered.
