This position will assist the members of the Accounting Department, Business Development Department and Legal Process Management Department in all aspects of the Firm’s pricing strategy. Working under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the candidate will help develop the Firm’s fee arrangements, based on the Firm’s current strategic goals, and will help analyze the results for future success. Duties included, but are not limited to, understanding the Firm’s historic pricing performance and current pricing options, modeling and creating various fee arrangements, preparing pricing content for external audiences (including RFP responses), maintaining and updating databases used to track pricing projects, collaborating with team members on analyses of closed matters, and assisting other Firm departments to meet client deadlines.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Work with the attorneys on a pricing strategy for a client, by implementing client-focused profitable pricing options and laying the foundation for a value based pricing framework
Work with the attorneys of the firm to provide creative pricing options and AFAs while responding to client proposals and RFPs
Support partners as it pertains to articulation of the value proposition on client proposals and RFP responses with respect to price and value
Model the impact on profit on proposed fee arrangements and run sensitivity analysis given changes to hours, leverage, realization fixed price amounts, risk levels, etc.
Work with stakeholders to build out project plans at the onset for critical client matters
Track worked hours on fixed price products as per the established work project plan
Follow up with attorneys on the status of their work by phases of the project various fixed price proposals and/or matters that need project management and analytics support
Communicate the progress on matters to stakeholders through various efficiency metrics, highlighting areas of risks and delays
Corroborating historical financial and profitability information for use in pricing decisions
Engaging in legal pricing related competitor and market studies
Collaborating on legal project management initiatives

Ability to prioritize and participate in multiple projects simultaneously
Work with large volumes of data
Highly skilled in Excel and creation of complex spreadsheets
Knowledge of data visualization tools in building PowerPoint decks
Familiarity with data warehouse and reporting applications is a plus
Knowledge of data mining concepts using SQL is a plus
Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible with current and future responsibilities
Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
Experience interacting with C-level executives and/or attorneys
Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/mathematics/economics, or similar discipline; MBA or similar master’s degree with a financial focus is a plus
Three plus years of related work experience is preferred
Prior law firm or pricing experience is a plusWorking Conditions: Works in typical office setting.
