The Fayette County Attorney’s Office is seeking qualified attorney applicants for an Assistant Fayette County Attorney position starting September 1, 2022. This position is open until filled. The position answers directly to the Fayette County Attorney and is an "at will" position.

? Designated currently as “part-time”. The successful applicant may at his/her discretion
take private clients in the practice area(s) of his/her choosing. An assistant would be
available if needed. Compensation to the assistant would be the responsibility of the
applicant. If taking private clients, the applicant would be a sole practitioner and
responsible for his/her own liability insurance.
? Office space is directly across from the Fayette County Courthouse in West Union, IA.
? A full-time office assistant will be housed in the same building as the successful
applicant dedicated solely to the business of the Fayette County Attorney.
? Responsible for prosecution of all felonies and misdemeanor offences assigned by the
Fayette County Attorney.
? Responsible for the prosecution of juvenile CINA petitions and juvenile delinquencies.
? Health/Vision/Dental group insurance through Fayette County.
? IPERS qualified position.
